The very first time launch of 'Real-time detector'
will bring security warning message to screen. If you
select 'Yes', real-time detector will be installed.
Select 'No' if you do not want to install real-time
detector. This Security Warning message will not be
shown in case that the nProtect is already installed.This
message will be shown after user removed nProtect and
nProtect is updated.
<<What is Security Warning?>>
When you download an ActiveX control program on a web
site, depending on the security level of the system, you
may receive the warning message in Internet Explorer to
avoid downloading and installing harmful program on the
system. This kind of software for scripting and initialization
has to have the verification from supplier by VeriSign
Commercial Software Publisher to protect users from the
vulnerability of their systems.
When you approved to install real-time detector, the
system will download modules which contains operational
files and engines to detect hacking tools and viruses
from nProtect server. nProtect try to maintain the latest
engine version for safe use of all users. The engine
will be downloaded automatically when nProtct is updated.
nProtect identifies whether hacking
tools and/or viruses exist in the memory of user's system
after proper downloading and installing nProtect modules.

and/or virus(es) will be blocked from the memory of
system and nProtect will bring online vaccine, LiveCall.

It is world's first web-based real-time security solution
that can effectively detect and block the intrusion
of all type of known, unknown and variations of hacking
tools and viruses like BO2K, Keylog, CIH, FUN LOVE,
and etc.

b) Pause
To pause nProtect, press 'Stop' and press 'Start' to
start nProtect again. If you pause nProtect, real-time
detector no longer protects you.
1) Accessible program list
It shows the list of programs allowed to access the
system. User can delete program(s) from the list selectively.
General Internet Programs are registered as default
to access.
Blocked IP address list
: Block access from the designated IP address
Block port no.
: Block access of all programs thru the designated
port
Allowed Internet Access
of General Internet Programs : Generally
used programs are pre-registered as default. When
'Allowed Internet Access of General Internet Programs'
is marked, they will be bypassed the access authorization
process-Internet Explorer, Outlook, MSN, Real Player,
etc.
(The list of programs will be updated continuously.)
Delete selected program
: Select program(s) needed to be deleted, and
then click 'Delete selected program'. (Deleted program
will request for user's authorization on next launch.)
Port scan :
Scans and shows the status of all ports in the system.

This window is popped out when an unauthorized program
tries to access to the system via Internet. The program
won't be launched until you give it permission for access.

'Yes' : The
program will be launched and added on Accessible program
list.
'No'
: The system will close the route for the
program to run.
When hacking tools or viruses are found by memory scan
at the launch of real-time detector, a warning message
will be popped out. Click 'Yes' to move to LiveCall
or click 'No' to open 'Scan' for manual recovery.

This option only enables to remove hacking tool(s) and/or
virus(es) from system memory. To remove or repair file(s)
from system permanently, user has to use On-Line Vaccine.
Detect and block access to shared folder on network.
[Shared Folder Setting]
Access to shared folders can be allowed/disallowed
by security setup.
In the state of default security setup, MEDIUM,
all the shared folders is allowed to access.
It is easy to see the status of shared folders and
release the folder(s) from the list of shared folders.

a) Allowed users to Access
- Real-time detector notifies the user upon detection
of access to shared folders.
- Click 'Yes' to Register a user on allowed users
to access list for shared folder or click 'No' to
disallow users to access shared folder.
- Even though user's ID tried to access is recorded
on log, he/she is not blocked out for access to
shared folder afterwards
- To block access to shared folder, set security
level as high or turned on 'Block access to shared
folder(s)' on security level setting.
- When deleted user tries to access to shared folder,
warning message will be popped out again.
Caution!!
If unknown user is trying to access to shared folder
or even when a known user trying to access unexpectedly,
it is recommended to disallow access to shared folder.
(Once a user is registered on the access allowed
user list, he/she will bypass the authorization
process afterwards.)
b) Access Attempted System
list
- If you don't allow the user/system that is trying
to access to your shared folders, the user/system
will be listed in this section.
- The user/system is going to move to the 'Allowed
user to access' session when you delete it by using
the 'Delete selected user(s)' button.
c) Shared folder List
- It shows the list of shared folders at the present
time.
- Click the 'Stop sharing of selected folder' button
to stop sharing after check an item you want.
